ONLINE CRASH COURSE

ABSL started her Online (Via WhatsApp) Crash Courses in October 2015 with the Aim of Teaching those interested in learning the Patternmaking Method of Creating Apparel the “5 Basic Slopers in Patternmaking”.

From feedbacks, we added Trouser and Jumpsuit due to Popular demand.

Over 300 people have chosen to study with us via our WhatsApp platform within and outside Nigeria. We have received loads of feedbacks which we have used positively in our teachings. We have designed the Online Crash Course to be able to serve our customers who are not chanced to enroll on the Offline courses.

THE “SELF-LEARNING” OPTION

The Self-Learning Option is designed for those who do not want to be part of a class. Those who want to learn on their own.

However, when a class is scheduled, they are added to the class

COURSE DETAILS

Understanding the Basic Blocks / Slopers (researchers grouped them into 5 - Front and Back Bodice; Front and Back Skirt; and Sleeve) is the most important aspect of Garment Making. When an individual understands these Basics, which we refer to as the “Foundation”, then individual can build on it. There are thousands of online resources that can also help.

VENUE: WhatsApp

Good News: there is an option "WhatsApp WEB" on whatsApp account. Which allows you to connect your WhatsApp account to the Web on a computer.

You can now chat from a BIGGER screen when you link. Which means, you can View the lecture notes and videos on larger screens (PCs,)

METHOD OF TEACHING:

  • Videos, pictures and detailed explanation
  • Teaching materials from different sources will be shared to help to understand this important aspect of Garment Making.

  • Anyone who already sews but wants to learn the Patternmaking Method
  • Anyone who wants to start a career in Patternmaking NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
  • 20 SLOTS Only. This is due to the technicalities involved. So that all participants will get Value for their Money.
